WWW: Clear presentation.
            Good handout, well structured and had key information.
            Starter task was well presented and engaged everyone to take part in it.

EBI:     Use more of the information on the handout onto the slides.
            Talk more about the influence the BBC has had in the past.
            Talk more about the use of synergy within the company.

The Guardian
The Guardian was founded by John Edward Taylor in 1821 based in Manchester. It was influenced by the Peterloo Massacre and the anti-corn laws campaigns. It was first only published on Saturdays. Achieved national and international recognition under the editorship of CP Scott, it was passed to his two sons. The first full coloured broadsheet. Left wing newspaper so it supports the views of the labour party.

BBC 
The BBC is funded by the residents in the UK and a public service that we pay for. It was founded in 1922 by John Reith. The BBC is the worlds oldest national broadcasting organisation. BBC has other channels such as BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC 3, BBC 4 ect and radio channels which all promote each other during advertisements. BBC was a private company during 1923-1926 and was suspended during WW2. 50% of BBC's expenditure is on TV. The BBC remit is Inform, Entertain and Educate. 

Twitter
Twitter was founded  9 years ago by Jack Dorsey, it has 300 million+ users and has a revenue of $1.4 billion. It is a social media website which allows you to socialise and with each tweet you're limited to 140 characters. The BBC use hashtags to be 'the definitive way to group tweets on the same subject. UCG - User generated content. Promotion through Vine. Everyone can keep up to date with the latest things that are occurring even the news.

News Corporation
News Corporation own The Times. It is also split into two sections - News Corporation and 21St Century Fox. It is promoted through 'The Simpsons' and The Times. It is a newspaper that favours The Conservatives. It is one of the worlds most highest earning company. It is owned by Rupert Murdoch who is an Australian but also an American Citizen. The industry is mass media and they also have a website making them easier for the younger audience to access online.

Sony
Sony was founded in Japan in 1946 by Akio Morita and Masaru Ibuka. Its diversified business is primarily focused on the Consumer and Professional electronics with divisions Gaming, Entertainment and Financial services sectors. Sony is well known for its technology and is recently known for the release of PS4 and the new Xperia phone. These products are promoted through the use of games and advertisements to promote on another. They had a revenue of 8 trillion yen. 

Vivendi
Vivendi is a mass media company and was founded in France 1853. They specialise in music publishing, film production, publishing, pay television service, tickets, television broadcasting and video hosting service. The chairman is Vincent Bollore. It is a worldwide company. Vivendi is a company primarily focused on digital entertainment. It owns French TV channel and movie producer the Canal+ Group, as well as music world leader Universal Music Group. 

Viacom
Viacom is a mass media American company which was founded in 2006. The current Viacom was created on December 31, 2005, as a spinoff from CBS Corporation. Viacom provides us with cable televison, broadcasting, radio, publishing, movies and web portals. They also have subsidiaries, BET Networks, Paramount Pictures Corporation, Viacom International and Viacome 18. In June 2005, Viacom announced its purchase of Neopets, a virtual pet website, along with GameTrailers, GoCityKids, and IFILM.
